Growing up and starting our periods brings about lots of changes — to our bodies, our feelings, and our relationships. This creative workshop will give parents/carers and children a chance to spend some dedicated time together, learn about periods and explore what can help us feel supported as we navigate times of change.
Parent and child will create and decorate their own self-care box and fill it full of things that make them feel good, bring them joy, and practical things they may need during times of change.
Topics covered will be:
● A gentle introduction to periods, period products and how our bodies begin to change
● Getting to know our emotions as we grow
● How to navigate growth and change with our friends
Led by myself, HCPC-registered Art psychotherapist and experienced Period Proud workshop lead, Chloe Lyon this is a collaboration with Irise International a Sheffield-based charity and global leader in menstrual justice programming, campaigning and research.
