Walkley Community Choir is a mixed age/gender/ability choir and we welcome anyone from Walkley and the surrounding area who is primary school age upwards (we have kids in it who are 6 and adults who are over 80!). We meet on Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 at St Mary’s church hall on South Rd, Walkley during term time. We welcome anyone who is interested in singing, no experience needed and there’s no audition. We’re led by our amazing musical director, Andrew Butterfield, and he leads us in singing a variety of pop, musical, folk songs and more! He’s amazingly talented but also makes our rehearsals informal and lots of fun! We often perform at community events such as Walkley late night Christmas Shopping and Walkley Festival and also at the Sheffield Food Festival in town It is such a lovely, informal, community group to be involved in and everyone is really friendly.
