Friendly volunteer run Society for allotment holders and gardeners aiming to make growing easier, cheaper and enjoyable. Our allotment shop on Morley Street is open at weekends throughout the growing season selling a range of garden sundries and timber. Members also have access to a discounted seed scheme, bulk order potatoes, a power tool club and an apple press.

We are excited to announce that WBAS and Walkley Events Collective will be bringing back the Amongst the Hedges allotment open day in July.

The event will take place on Sunday 19th July, 10am – 2pm and we will give updates nearer the time.

We will be joined by a few local people and WBAS members who are knowledgeable about hedgehogs, butterflies, wildlife gardening and more. Do you have a specific knowledge on gardening or nature. Have you got anything that you would like to show or talk about – flowers, veg, exotic fruit, chickens… or anything else?

As this is a community event on council property we need to perform a risk assessment so please notify us about anything that may be of concern.
