Welcome to Walkley’s green spaces. From the Millennium Green in the west to the delightful Peace Garden in the east, Walkley has an abundance of parks, greens, community gardens and hidden natural areas. You can also pick up a map from the Walkley Events Collective who will be based on Walkley Green (opposite Asda).
Additionally, two of our local volunteers will be doing a guided tour which will take in some of the green spaces towards Upperthorpe. We will visit Ruskin Park, Blake Street Nature Garden, Peace Garden and Philadelphia Gardens. Many of these spaces have been created and/or maintained by local community groups. The walk will start on the Green (opposite Asda) at 12.30 so you have time to visit the yard sale next door in the Rose House. We expect the tour to take 1–1.5 hours. This is Walkley so expect a downhill walk on the way and vice versa coming back.
