Nature needs us! And we need it too!

We want to improve local green spaces, no matter how small, for the benefit of wildlife and everyone’s enjoyment. And we need your help!

Help us to:

  • Create Nature Corridors to connect green spaces and fragmented habitats (including gardens) to give wildlife better access to food, water and mates!
  • Improve, design and demonstrate habitats that increase biodiversity
  • Create a Walking Trail connecting the Green Spaces that incorporates inspirational artwork and promotes wildlife engagement.

‘Walkley Wildlife Wedges’

Is our project to promote a wildlife friendly mowing regime for the ‘little green triangles’ dotted around Walkley.  We want to increase the number of wildflowers and beneficial grasses growing there, and in doing so improve their benefit to insects, birds, bats and other wildlife.  We’ll also plant (predominantly native) bulbs and wildflowers, plants and trees.

Do you have a ‘wedge’ or green space near you that you’d like to ‘wild’?  Let us know and we’ll share our skills and resources.
