Now in its second year, Art in the Aisles is scheduled to coincide with the first weekend of Open Up Sheffield.
Sheffield is a city of artists and makers and is famed for having one of the highest concentrations of studios outside of London. Open Up Sheffield welcomes the public to visit artists and makers in their studios, showcasing their work over two weekends. This annual event allows you to visit working studios, talk to the artists and makers and have the chance to buy original pieces of work.
The premise of Art in the Aisles is to give local Artists and Craftspeople an opportunity to showcase their talents, particularly if they don’t have a studio to ‘open up’. Preference is given to Artists from Walkley and surrounding areas and all artists that take part are connected to Sheffield.
